what we breathe out, we breathe in…
meaning the energy we put out to the world
is returned and
we bring it back in to ourselves.
that energy becomes even more a part of us
.
be it the energy of ~
.
love
hate
.
compassion
apathy
.
generosity
greed
.
honesty
lies
.
integrity
subterfuge
.
patience
anxiety
.
forgiveness
vengeance
.
courage
fear
…
no matter our spiritual belief or non-belief or disbelief,
darkness ~ or negative energy ~ begets darkness
light ~ or positive energy ~ initiates light
{interestingly, light can pour into darkness, but darkness cannot pour into light}
.
it comes down to a causal mechanism governing the universe ~ often referred to as “karma”
karma is an immanent principle of the universe and it is without intervention of any supernatural Being
.
the abstraction of karma is part of a world view held by millions of people ~ both eastern cultures & western cultures.
many in western cultures (or with christian upbringings) have subsumed this perception of karma.
the western christian belief of reaping what you sow from galatians 6:7 is analogous to the eastern view of karma that we are a result of what we have thought.
.
We Reap What We Sow (Galatians 6:7-9)
.
All that we are is the result of what we have thought.
If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him.
If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him,
like a shadow that never leaves him.~The Buddha
.
what we exhale
~ our passions, our beliefs, our thoughts, our energies ~
are what we inhale
.
and what we inhale
~ the passions, the beliefs, the thoughts, the energies ~
we either are or
we eventually become
.
ergo ~
what we breathe in, we breathe out…
meaning what we take in from the world
~ negativity or positivity or fear or hope ~
we put back out into the world.
.
no matter where we are or what is happening around us or to us
it is our perception of the situation that colors our emotion and affects our sense of the situation
how we absorb ~ or breathe in ~ that situation is up to us.
.
because ~
our perception of the world around us
influences what we breathe in
and helps to shape how we breathe it in
thus ~
how we breathe it out
…
hence ~
i have opted for
breathing in peace and
breathing out love.
.
tell me ~
what do you breath in & breathe out?
