After Eva LaRue – Beckstrand Cancer Foundation National Spokesperson – was told about my efforts to personally raise more money ($2000) for the Help Kids With Cancer Scholarship Fund (with my causes.com, & other check/cash donations) and setup the Myrtle and Turville Spreadborough Scholarship, as well as establishing our soon To Be Announced new BUTTERFLY KISS national scholarship fundraiser, Eva and and her husband Joe made an addtional $8000 donation to the scholarship fund!

Now, we have six scholarships funded and hopefully four more scholarships in the next month which would give a total of TEN scholarships if Eva’s challenge is met!

Here’s a personal message from Eva ~

Dear Friends,

I want to extend a very special invitation to you – one that will not only put a warm feeling in your heart, but also accomplish something amazing for a young cancer patient. I am proud to share that along with my husband, Joe, I have made a donation of $8,000 toward four scholarship awards for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation’s college-bound patients. And here is my challenge for you:

I invite you to join me in this effort and match one of these awards dollar-for-dollar, so that we can make a difference for even more of our teen patients in need.

During the next 4 weeks, I urge you to make a decision that will change someone’s life – a  child who dreams of attending college and just needs a little help to get there. We can make it happen. Join me in funding the Celebration of Life Scholarship and the Hope Scholarship by March 15, in time for cancer patients nationwide to apply for consideration.
