We are delighted to announce the first of four 2011 scholarships awarded to help create a better future for college bound teens with cancer!
$4,000 scholarship winner: Mary Eid who wrote in our essay: Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.” My perspective on and attitude involving this matter are what gave me the will and strength to suffer, endure, and rise above cancer. If I can overcome cancer, I truly believe that I can overcome anything.
