In 1854, the "Great White Chief" in Washington made an offer for a large area of Indian land and promised a reservation for the Indian people - Chief Seattle replied (Wiki Image)

DÉJA VU_words of Chief Seattle 1854, Einstein 1950, Bohm 1980, still relevant 2010

at the end of each year, i often contemplate & write about how i see the world at this particular moment in time, where i am, where i have been and where i am going on my journey of becoming beauty and discovering beyond while living in urbia. 2010 has been an amazing year for me in so many ways – mind ~ body ~ spirit. again, i was thinking about our interconnectedness with each other and with the universe (big beyond) and with the earth (tiny beauty) and with our selves … READ MORE ~»

PS-family eJournal of our Mother’s Spinal Surgery and Recovery (via various social network media tools)

“Our Mother’s doctor said, although it may take 6 months to 1 year, he expects she will make a full recovery, be better than ever and this will probably even help with her Parkinsons Disease. The surgery to repair the spinal stenosis revealed a lot of damage to her discs which hugely compressed the nerves PLUS a fractured vertabra (with subluxation), meaning our mom had a broken neck, Most likely from tripping on stairs and a fall last March!” ~ sarah nean bruce

A Little Bit of Knowledge: XINGing, Unicorns & the benefits of a Dirty Car

I had my own myth-type belief instilled by my mother when i was 13 or 14 years old.
I complained to my mom that we really should wash our family car because i was quite embarrassed of the dirt (lovingly referred to as the sherman tank since it was army green in color and the muffler had fallen off) when she would pick me up from events with my school friends. My mother April (a teacher and really, really smart) convinced me, with strong scientific evidence, that “dirt protected the car paint.” This myth was not dispelled until i was 22 years old. … read/see ~more~

23RD AUGUST_Special day for the Bruce Family in Hawaii celebrating my Grand Cousin’s 105th Birthday

On 23 August 2010, my Grand Cousin Phyllis Carr Bruce (my father John W. Bruce’s first cousin) turned 105 years young! She is doing quite well and still lives in her majestic home (since 1937) with her daughters, amidst a grove of beautiful trees at the foothills of an awe-inspiring volcano. When she was 99 (2004-2005), i stayed at her home and convalesced from a severe foot injury. She brought me tea, shared her sweet kitty, looked after me and watched late night television with me. Please read the following article on what she thought about turning 100! … read/see ~more~

4½ weeks (of Intensity)
