n.o.w.~forever violet {by sarah nean bruce}

you may have crushed my heart,
but you did not crush my spirit.
.
i did not shrink,
i let go,
i flourished,
i grew taller.
.
i forgave you,
i forgave myself.
i forgave the stars.
.
the love i have, the love i gave ~
is forever violet,
forgiving,
healing,
fragrant,
ever-radiant.
.
much, a.d.o.

Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it. ~ Mark Twain

I am grateful for …
The life
I have been given
.
The life
I have accepted
.
The loves
I have let go
.
The laughter
I have experienced
.
The obsessions
I have not chased
.
The passions
I have pursued

i give up what i don’t need and
i am content.
.
i give up material things & endeavors
taking up my space & my energy.
.
i give up toxic relationships & situations
weakening my outer & my inner being.
.
i give up impassivity & negativity and
i attract peace & positivity.

w.o.w.~what we breathe out, we breathe in… {by sarah nean bruce}

what we breathe out, we breathe in…
meaning the energy we put out to the world
is returned and
we bring it back in to ourselves.
that energy becomes even more a part of us

uni-tasking via the slow internet movement (thoughts on tiny buddha article)

i think i really like this “movement” i read about in today’s tiny buddha article… especially the part about stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system.
i’ve been slowing down for the past few years {especially after my foot/leg injury 2004/2005}
~ plus balancing work/career with art/play ~ and it’s helped improve my life immensely.
amazingly, the overall effect makes me feel like i am accomplishing more {mind~body~soul}
by living more balanced and not pushing so hard ~sb

in 2004 i was clinging to a love and an illusion that was not true and not real.  in 2006 i began the process of letting go of that unattainable and unrealistic love of someone else.  in 2007 i started releasing my fear and i started loving my self.   in 2008 i was like a small bird when i let go and i flew away to a better self and a higher plane and  i truly abandoned the quixotic dream that kept me trapped and grounded and and faint-hearted.  i constantly release love and love continually embraces me. {photo by sarah nean bruce ~ feb 2004}

poetic~releasing

“You only lose what you cling to.” ~Buddha
when we clung to love it was kept just beyond our reach
then we released ourselves from loving others desperately
and we released our attachment to being loved by them

when we began to truly love ourselves
we discovered we could love others unconditionally and
from a place of overflow

and because we love ourselves,
we allow ourselves to love others freely
we do not love others from a place of scarcity {please READ MORE}
